Vet Gardens

A place for Veteran Gardeners and friends...

Welcome to Veteran Gardens!

Our mission is to improve the well-being of Veterans with a variety of gardening projects at the William "Bill" Kling clinic in Broward County and the Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale Museum.  The goals of the projects are two-fold: To create a wildlife habitat for birds and butterflies for visitors to the clinic to enjoy and for Veterans to participate in the creating and maintaining of the garden. We offer monthly classes on various horticulture topics to veterans, their family members,  and the clinic staff. Some of the topics presented so far include growing herbs in South Florida, vegetable gardening,  and composting.
